Home Tour

Hey friends!  I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that tomorrow is September 1st.  I'm so excited!  September 1st is my favorite day of the year.  In my mind, tomorrow is the first day of fall.  Bring on all the fall things.  If you were at my house right now, you would smell a combination of cinnamon bark, clove, and nutmeg in my diffuser.  We are all ready.

Speaking of home, I thought today would be a great day for a home tour.  I'll probably do two more this year with fall and Christmas decorations.

Last July we took a meeting with our realtor.  He had called Greg asking if he knew anyone looking to sell their house because the inventory on the market was so low.  Greg told him that we had been talking and had planned to sell our house in the summer of 2020.  Our realtor wanted to meet with us to start working on a timeline for us.  That meeting was on July 5th.  Fast forward one week and we were putting our house on the market and we had picked a lot to build our new house.  We are so glad that we chose to do all of this in 2019 instead of 2020.

Our Sundays quickly became our time each week to go check out the house progress.  It was so fun!

We closed on our house two days before Christmas and the movers brought everything over two days after Christmas.  That was a week that none of us will ever forget.

We are loving this house.  We continue to find new things to add to our home and we have been working in the back yard to get our fire pit area all ready.

Come on in and stay a while.

Downstairs Area

We wanted to have a lot of windows in this house.  Our last house had a total of 5 windows and that was one of our favorite parts of this house.

We also really wanted white cabinets in the kitchen.  The flooring is a light grey color and we love them!

The other day I found a cabinet that I forgot about.  I love all of the cabinets in the kitchen.  There is room for everything.

Upstairs Area

The base floor plan for this model included an upstairs loft.  You could have changed it to a fourth bedroom but we loved the openness of the loft.

Carson's Room

Carson's room is hands down one of our favorite rooms in the entire house.  It screams Carson.  His toy box and bed came from Wayfair.  The majority of his baseball decor came from Hobby Lobby.  His book shelves were built by my brother.

Thanks for coming by and we look forward to many more years in our home.
