Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!  I am so glad it's Friday.  We have a busy weekend ahead though.  Biker Weekend at church, lot of errands, more crafting and a wedding.  Here we go for Friday Favorites.

We love football in our house.  For me, it is college football all the way.  Greg likes the NFL more.  I'm a big Arkansas Razorback fan and even though we lost this past weekend I'm hopeful for the rest of the season.  My favorite is still my new sign for my door that I made a few weeks ago.  I am still loving my new shirt to wear on Saturdays as well.

We are loving the new milestones with our buddy.  He is 10 months old and he is into everything.  Wednesday night he was showing off with his walking toy.

Fall is here and that means I have an excuse to eat these.  I"m all about the pumpkin for fall but these little guys are a favorite.
I have been working on my craft projects for the upcoming SEBTS Craft and Bake Sale.  Being crafty all week has been my favorite.  Here are some of the ones I made last year for myself.

I made this one this past week.

I went to a Rodan & Fields event with my friend Jaime last night.  I learned a lot and I'm excited about trying out the products.  It was a favorite of the week.  Some girl time, some pumpkin spice donut holes, and ending the night with chips & salsa.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sausage Quiche

I love a good breakfast casserole.  Yum.  This one is one of my all time favorites.  My Mom found it in one of the cookbooks she has and we have all made it many times.  It's called a quiche but there is not a pie crust in this recipe so feel free to call it something else if you so desire.  The cookbook said quiche so we are rolling with it.

1 lb. sausage (I use Neese's Hot Country Sausage, I've used Jimmy Dean too)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
1 cup Bisquick
2 cups milk
2 tbsp. finely chopped onions (I've used the dried minced onion too)
salt & pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Brown your sausage and drain off the fat.  Layer your cooked sausage in a greased 9x13 pan.  Sprinkle your cheese over your sausage.  Stir together your eggs, Bisquick, milk, onions, salt and pepper.  Pour this mixture over your sausage and cheese.  Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Grab a cup of coffee, turn on some Bugs Bunny for the kids and enjoy.

What's Up Wednesday: September

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Today I'm linking up with Mel, Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday.
If this is your first time here for What's Up Wednesday, then you should know that this is link up with several bloggers on the last Wednesday of each month.  We all answer the same questions and one bonus question each month.  Here goes...
What We're Eating This Week...
Lots of chicken this week.  We have several packs in our freezer that I'm trying to use this week.  We made a Taco Chicken on Monday and had it with rice.  Tuesday we had some Oven Fry Chicken with Broccoli Casserole.  Thursday night will be Teriyaki Chicken night.

What I'm Reminiscing About...
I mean, come on.  This little buddy wasn't sure about the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade last year.  It is so hard to believe that we are close to a 2nd Holiday season with this little buddy.
What I'm Loving...
THIS!  Hello fall.
What We've Been Up To...
We have been busy.  We are constantly on the go it seems.  I love having time with my boys.  We love our weekend adventures.
The buddy is always up for a good time.  Sadly here is too busy looking at the huge TV's at Sams.

What I'm Dreading...
I can't think of anything at the moment.
What I'm Working On...
I'm working on lots of wreaths and Christmas ornaments.  I'm taking part in a Craft & Bake Sale on November 5th.  I'm busy crafting away each night.  I would love some input on new styles. These are some of the ones I found on Pinterest.

What I'm Excited About...
I have started planning Carson's 1st Birthday party.  We are going with a Chugginton theme.   We have already picked the day, the theme, and worked on some other small details.  I still don't know how we are already at that time but I'm excited.
What I'm Watching/Reading...
Our weekends have been constant football.  During the week we tend to have a little less TV on.  We did watch the debate on Monday.  We were proud of ourselves for making it the whole way through.
My reading has been slow these last few weeks.  I'm ready for some new suggestions.

What I'm Listening To...
For a few more days I'll be listening to the Passion Worship Band on Pandora but come Saturday it is time for Christmas music non stop for me.  I love Christmas music and I tend to start every year on October 1st.

How can you say no to this on October 1st?

What I'm Wearing...
It's cardigan time at my house.  I think it is always cardigan time at my house but now I can add my scarves and boots to the mix too.
What I'm Doing This Weekend...
Our church is having our annual Biker Weekend this weekend.  Saturday we are having a Car & Bike Show too.  It is always a great weekend at our church.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...
I'm ready to fully embrace fall.  I see a trip to the Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festivals, Halloween costumes and as much fall fun as we can have.

What Else Is New...
We are still loving the new haircut for the little buddy.  He looks so grown up.  I'm so glad that my friend Victoria was able to cut it for us.

Bonus: Favorite Fall Recipe
I love all things fall food.  Give me soup and pumpkin desserts and I'm a happy camper but one of my favorite things to make in the fall are these Cranberry Bars.

10 Months of Carson

Well ladies and gentleman we have a 10 month old.  Last Thursday, Carson hit the 10 month mark.  This year has flown by.  I'm in the middle of birthday party planning and I know it will be here so soon.

Carson is a ham.  He is booming with personality.  He cracks himself up constantly.

He is into everything.  He crawls everywhere and alternates mid crawl on his preference of crawling.  He has about three different ways he crawls.  He can stand for about a second by himself and I'm afraid walking is in the not to distant future.

He loves playing with his John Deere Mega Block dump truck.  He treats his crib like a personal trampoline.

This past month brought about a new haircut for the buddy and it makes him look so much older.

Carson says Dada, Mama, and baba (bottle).  Carson will eat anything you put in front of him.  He loves food and has a better diet than his Mom and Dad do.

He is loving watching football with Mom and Dad too.

Carson, thanks for being the best little buddy we could have asked for.

Show and Tell: Favorite Blogposts

It's Tuesday and it's Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea.

Today is all about our favorite blogposts.  I picked my top five.

I loved my first post about our sweet little house.  It has changed some since that first post but I still love our home.

I wrote this post shortly after my Grandma passed away.  It was read at her funeral and it makes me smile each time I read and think about her.

Who doesn't love a good engagement story?

This post was not really about a cake but about more about learning about myself through the cake.

One, this picture was not in this post originally but I love it and completely captures the point of this blogpost.  This is probably my all time favorite post.

What a fun Show & Tell Tuesday.  See you next time!

Weekend Recap: Hair Cut Edition

I can't believe it is Monday.  I'm sure that is because we had a full weekend and I'm exhausted.

Friday night was Girls Night for this Momma.  My friend Amy hosted a Southern Whimsy party.  We all painted door signs.  Mine turned out huge but I love it.  It was perfect for gameday on Saturday.  Love my Razorbacks.
After I got home, Greg headed off to an all night lock in with almost 300 teenagers.  Good job Greg.  Carson and I enjoyed our sleep.  Well Carson did.

Saturday was busy.  We had a lot of little things we wanted to do.  New phones, lunch, and some shopping.
Carson loved his kid spud at McAlisters and let's be honest I loved my spud too buddy.  Greg had the New Yorker.  Go figure.

After lunch we hit up the AT&T store.  Someone wanted a new iPhone.  I wanted a Pumpkin Spice Frap.

Carson was ready to go by the time Greg was finishing up.  He was ready to go to Hobby Lobby with Mom.
See, this boy knows the greatness that is Hobby Lobby.  He was pretty excited about the new things for his room for Christmas.  He also liked looking at the model rockets and cars.

Saturday night was our favorite part of the day.  We went to our Saturday night service at church.  We sang one of my favorite songs and Carson hung out with one of his favorite people, Miss Ashley.  They love each other.

I wore my new shirt from Heart Grown Co on Saturday.  I'm so glad that football season is back.

The countdown was on for Sunday.  Little man was getting his first haircut.  We knew it was time but it was definitely weird saying goodbye to the lovely curls.

He decided he wanted to drive us to church on Sunday.  You need to buckle up man.

Rocking the wet mullet.
I mean, how cute is he?
He was ready for dinner post haircut.  He decided to check out the Chilis menu himself.
How is my little buddy getting so big?  He hits the 10 month mark this week.

Happy Monday everyone!
